Day 1: Arrival in Warsaw – Jewish Heritage Tour
Upon arrival in Warsaw, you will meet your guide and begin a journey tracing the rich and complex history of Jewish life in the city. Although only limited physical traces remain, we will visit meaningful sites such as Janusz Korczak’s house, remnants of the ghetto wall, the wooden bridge site, the former home of Adam Czerniaków, and the Jewish cemetery — where each gravestone bears silent witness to countless personal stories. In the area of the former ghetto, a few surviving buildings offer a glimpse into daily life during that period. We will also walk along the “Jewish Memory Trail,” sometimes referred to as the “Path of Heroism,” a moving memorial route featuring several monuments that honor the memory of Warsaw’s Jewish community. Day 2: Lodz – A City of History and Resilience – Krakow
After breakfast, we will travel to Lodz, Poland’s second-largest city, where we will explore its remarkable architecture and learn about its once-thriving Jewish community. Lodz was a major center of Jewish life and culture before the war. Following our visit, we will continue on to Krakow. Overnight in Krakow.
Day 3: Krakow – The Old City and Jewish Quarter
Following breakfast, we will embark on an in-depth tour of Krakow, the former royal capital of Poland for 500 years. Remarkably preserved through centuries of turmoil, Krakow boasts an extraordinary architectural and cultural legacy. We will tour the Old Town, visit the historic Jewish quarter of Kazimierz with its beautiful synagogues and rich history, and explore areas connected to the wartime ghetto. The tour will continue to Wawel Hill, home to the Royal Castle. Overnight in Krakow.
Day 4: Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial Visit
After breakfast, we will make the solemn journey to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum. This powerful site stands as a place of remembrance and reflection, honoring the victims of one of history’s darkest chapters. Following the visit, we will return to Krakow, where you’ll have free time to explore the city center. Overnight in Krakow.
Day 5: Zakopane – The Tatra Mountains and Gubałówka Cable Car
After breakfast, we will head to the scenic Tatra Mountains, which form the natural border between Poland and Slovakia. In Zakopane, Poland’s picturesque mountain resort, we will ascend Gubałówka Peak by cable car to enjoy panoramic views, local artisan stalls, and restaurants. After descending, we’ll stroll along Krupówki Street, the lively heart of Zakopane. Return to Krakow for overnight.
Day 6: Return to Warsaw – Old Town and Cultural Landmarks
After breakfast, we will return to Warsaw and continue exploring the city’s rich cultural and historical sites. Highlights include the Old Market Square, the Barbican — a fortified outpost from the 15th century — and the home of Madame Curie, where we will learn about her extraordinary scientific achievements. Later, enjoy time for shopping in one of Warsaw’s large modern shopping centers. Overnight in Warsaw.
Day 7: Warsaw – History and Modern Life – Departure
After breakfast, we will continue discovering Warsaw’s diverse architecture, shaped by the many chapters of its history. Our tour will offer further insights into the city’s remarkable resilience and renewal. In the afternoon, we’ll have time for final shopping before your individual departure.
